The 9th Annual Mark Spector Golf Classic was held at The Quarry on Wednesday, July 27th with a shotgun start at 8:00 am.
On a hot and sunny +29 C day, 12 volunteers and staff welcomed 240 golfers and celebrities who came out to play and have fun in support of Sport Central.
When the drives, chips and putts were all done, $158,200 was raised to assist over 1,536 kids get the gear they need to play for up to 15 different sports. The total raised over 9 Annual Golf Tournaments so far is $1,149,894. Thank you to our Partners and golfers who carried us to this amazing milestone, many of whom have participated every year since the beginning.
The big winners every year are the children who get to play their favourite sport or get their first bike. The tournament trophy winners this year were Delly McEwan, Lyndon Galvin, Kirk Muyeres, Steve Kopp and Noah Gregor.
